Nostalgia

I am feeling full of nostalgia at the moment. I have been playing a CD of Strauss waltzes and they always have this effect on me. I think this must be because they bring back memories of my youth. This implies that I was in the habit of going in for Old Time dancing when I was a girl. This was not the case though I did go dancing regularly for a time {Modern ballroom dancing}. I think that the nostalgia must be a mixture of the pleasure of dancing and the happiness that comes from listening to the old waltzes. The combination of the two brings back my “old days”.

My grandmother Rosetta Jarvis died in 1915. Grandad married again sometime in the 1920s. I vaguely remember her when I was a child . I have an idea she died in the early 1930s. I called her Nanny. They grew strawberries.
